BioWare will certainly gain a lot of gamers’ attention with its new Massively Multiplayer Online RPG, Star Wars The Old Republic. Set thousands of years before Darth Vader and the Rebellion, Star War The Old Republic takes place in the middle of a raging war that divides the galaxy between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The Sith Empire have sacked the Republic on Coruscant forcing them to sign a controversial treaty with the Sith Empire.

You as the player will have the option to choose which type of character you want to be. As of right now BioWare has given information on a few of the classes; Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, and Soldier. As you progress through the game you will ultimately be faced with choice of following the light or the dark side of the force.

The thing that will make this game different from the rest of MMOs is BioWare and Lucasart’s vision for a story driven game. Their goal is to add a fourth key element in the MMO world besides exploration, combat, and level progression. In reaching this goal BioWare as fully voiced the entire game. Even your own character will have a voice. The game has drawn in several hundred professional voice actors and directos to make sure the player experience is unique and different every time you stop to talk with an NPC in the game.     I have to get the new star wars theme on my Tom Tom GPS. Looks like It is terrific!
