BioWare certainly is flexing their cinematic muscle with their impressive trailers. Again at E3 they demonstrate the unique story of their upcoming MMO, The Old Republic. The trailer released by BioWare is slated to become the games intro cinematic. A few of us here have been debating over the quality of this game and the time and money spent on it. Will it live up to its expectations? Will the story line drive us deeper into the Star Wars universe? When will the damn thing come out? Hopefully BioWare and EA can live up to the expectations of many and deliver more than a large production bill.

And we're back! After a long hiatus from jobs, grad school, and other personal business, we are back into the thick of things once more. What better way to start afresh then to provide some news during the week of E3 2011. There is much in store so let's get straight to it. Here is a highly anticipated game for many on the PS3, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, due out on November 1, 2011. Drake's fate is drawn into the adventures and stories of T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia).

This week has been definitely filled with new items and games from everyone. Microsoft announces their slimmed console along with their motion capture device Kinect, so naturally Sony reveals their latest attempt into the motion capture realm. Sony announced on Tuesday the launch of their new device, Move. Move will be released on September 19, and can be purchased in a bundle with both sets of the controller (yes it is almost exactly like the Wii controller) along with the PlayStation Eye and Move Sports Championship game. Why is everyone releasing a sports game with these things? Oh wait, probably because the Wii did awesome with just the console and Wii Sports when it came out. You can expect to pay $99 for the whole bundle or if you’re in the market for a new console you can pick one up with the Move controller for $399.

The idea behind the design is that the giant ball attached to the end of the controller will change color based on your lighting and background environment in the room. The PlayStation Eye will then track the ball more efficiently. Sony’s goal is to have a more 1:1 ration of your actual movements. I hope that the tracking is indeed more close to 1:1 for games. Just imagine Force Unleashed II with this thing, though it probably won’t be compatible with the game. Anyway, check out the latest screens.

Here is yet another anticipated game by many out there. E3 has provided us with a debut trailer showing off the new game along with gameplay footage utilizing the Wii motion plus. Author Stephen Totilo over at kotaku had a chance to play the demo at the E3 convention and was overall impressed with the game.

So no complaints on controls, an almost-perfect button layout and a "decent" for graphics. I enjoyed romping through the game's demo and had the most fun at a boss. This game's probably going to be good. No surprise, it's a Zelda.

If you haven’t heard already Microsoft announced this past Tuesday the launch of their newest Xbox 360 S model and the long awaited motion capture device Kinect, formerly Natal. Following suit of Sony they have trimmed down the system for a slimmer and sleeker looking console. Some of the new features include a smaller 45nm processor, integrated 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi, 5 USB ports (2 front, 3 back), custom Kinect port, and a larger 250 GB removable hard drive. Check out the full details and pictures after the break.
Microsft’s Xbox 360 250Gb Slim and Kinect is an article on Pixel Well

If you haven’t heard already Microsoft announced this past Tuesday the launch of their newest Xbox 360 S model and the long awaited motion capture device Kinect, formerly Natal. Following suit of Sony they have trimmed down the system for a slimmer and sleeker looking console. Some of the new features include a smaller 45nm processor, integrated 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi, 5 USB ports (2 front, 3 back), custom Kinect port, and a larger 250 GB removable hard drive. Current users will not be able to remove their hard drives and attach them to the new unit. However, there will be a USB transfer cable available to transfer your data. As of Tuesday websites have been reporting that the units were being shipped out to retailers that day and expected to see them on store shelves by the end of this week. Here are some highlights of the official fact sheet that Engadget was given followed by the spec sheet revealed at Joystiq.

LucasArts has released another Star Wars trailer for you. This time its for the upcoming game The Force Unleashed 2. I'm personally excited for this game after recently playing through the first game. I'm curious as to where the writers are going to take the storyline. It seems that there can only be so much done in the time span between Episode III and IV of the movie series. Also worth checking out is the Force Unleashed II web site. There are no menus but instead take on the appearance as if you are in a bacta tank as a clone.(?) There are several audio files that you can listen in on and a few mini games to unlock memories. Some are flashbacks of the old game while others possible hint to the storyline of the next game. Go on and check out the site here. Make sure to check out the trailer after the break.
The Force Unleashed II E3 2010 Trailer is an article on Pixel Well

Well E3 2010 has officially kicked off today with many new and exciting games on the way. What better way to kick off the excitement then by LucasArts launching a new trailer for their upcoming massive multiplayer game, The Old Republic. The trailer is titled Hope of Alderaan and depicts the planet under invasion by the Empire. Nothing new right? Just make sure you have enough thermal detonators for this action packed trailer after the break.
The Old Republic: Hope of Alderaan E3 2010 Trailer is an article on Pixel Well
